Even though it is a lever harp, the recommended stringing for the Lyon & Healy “Folk Harp” is PEDAL Nylon in the 1st through 4th Octaves, and PEDAL Gut in the 5th Octave. If you prefer, you can substitute Pedal Gut for the Pedal Nylon, or Pedal Nylon for the Pedal Gut. But be sure that you use PEDAL (and not lever) strings.
Bass Wire Strings The 5th and part of the 6th Octave strings used on these harps are Lyon & Healy Folk Wires. The last two strings in the 6th octave are Pedal wires.
